The Honest Truth It is a humbling journey when we take steps to heal ourselves and become open to who we really are. I was a person who lived stressfully. I became an expert in living a life of stress...until I was diagnosed with extreme adrenal exhaustion. If I continued living my fast-paced, workaholic, over-full life, I would have to prepare to spend time with illness very soon.
It was a wake-up call, my turning point if you will, to find ways to live a better life with less stress.

How To Live A Better Life - Start Now
Everybody wants to live a better life, but nobody wants to step up and make it happen for themselves. People make up thousands of excuses as to why they aren't living "the good life". Saying mean things like "I can't have a better life because I wasn't born into a rich family" or "I'm not good looking enough" or "Nothing ever goes my way". Unfortunately not everyone is just born into wealth and luck, but you can have both. Focus on what you want to happen and not what you don't want to happen because that's how to live a better life.

I Want to Build a Better Life
Building a better life can be difficult, there's no doubt about that. Many people are more driven to stay comfortable and keep the "status quo" rather than make a dramatic change to their lives - even if that change is a positive one and it's ultimately for the better. It takes a rare kind of attitude to consistently seek a better life no matter where you find yourself or where you are in your life.

There Is A Better Life Out There - We Can Have and Live It
It is tempting to stay put in the life that drains our energy because it is easier to conform than to be different. We can't afford to stay in a life that is not making us feel fulfilled, happy and contented. We do not need to suffer in a lackluster life. We do not need to stay in a life that is not healthy. This where taking leadership over our lives comes into play. Change just like growth requires that we replace something we have lost with something we have gained. In order to lose, gain and replace, we need to be strong enough to step out on faith.
What does that mean? We may not see the entire path in front of us. We may only see one footstep ahead and it is that footstep we need to have the faith to make. Have the faith to just put one foot in front of the other with the little light that we do see until the path becomes completely lit.
